Overview

What Trend Anchor EA does

Trend Anchor EA is built around a simple premise: markets trend less often than they range, so entries should only trigger once a trend is reasonably well established across more than one timeframe, not on the first sign of momentum.

The EA checks trend direction on a higher timeframe before allowing an entry signal on the execution timeframe, then places an order with a stop-loss, take-profit and position size calculated automatically from your chosen risk-per-trade percentage.

Key Features

Built around control, not complexity

Multi-timeframe trend filter

A higher-timeframe trend check must agree with the execution-timeframe signal before any position is opened.

Fixed risk per trade

Position size is calculated from your account balance and a configurable risk percentage — not a fixed lot size.

Staged exit management

Take-profit is scaled out in stages as a trend develops, with the stop-loss trailed behind price to help protect gains already made.

One position per pair

The EA manages one position per pair it’s attached to — no unlimited grid or martingale scaling across pairs.

Configurable pair list

Choose which major pairs the EA is allowed to trade from a simple settings list.

Full parameter access

All inputs are visible and adjustable in the platform’s standard settings panel — nothing is hidden or locked.

Strategy Description

How the logic works

Trend Anchor EA evaluates trend direction on a higher timeframe (default: H4) using a moving-average-based filter. Only when that higher-timeframe trend is clearly established does the EA look for an entry signal on its execution timeframe (default: H1), reducing the chance of entering against the broader move.

Once in a trade, the EA takes partial profit at predefined stages and trails the remaining stop-loss behind price, aiming to stay in strong trends longer while protecting profit already secured. Position size is derived from the account’s current balance and the risk percentage you configure, so the dollar risk on every trade stays consistent.

The EA does not average down, does not use a martingale or grid multiplier, and will not open a second position on the same pair while one is already active.

Instrument coverage

Trend Anchor EA is tested across major currency pairs. Exotic or low-liquidity pairs are not recommended, as wider spreads and gaps can distort the trend filter.
